Research on the internet provided the palette Vermeer used for this painting. Of course today's paints are very different but I tried to approximate the colors. The background and face have been blocked in. Highlights still need to be added and the scarf and dress colors need further research since each reproduction I have seen is a little different. Face is complete, though Vermeer is known to use glazes so I may make some refinements after this layer is dry. Clothing blocked in and background was deapened with a green glaze since it is know that the original background was green but that color has since faded. Almost finished, after taking this photo I noticed that some areas need more contrast. You'll see the difference in the final.
